Webjay and social-computing have released a new solution to cartography musical playlists.
Thanks to webjay users’ playlists (more than 20000 !) , we have developped a new cartography system allowing to navigate from playlist to playlist, from song to song, and to listen to them.
For each webjay playlist, you will find on the webjay website, at the bottom of the page, a link to the playlist map :

The orange circles represent playlist’s songs, and blue ones the songs belonging to other playlists, you should listen to.
It is possible to navigate from song to song. By double-clicking on a circle, a new map is drawn, centered on the clicked song (in orange). The blue circles are close songs (according to webjay users), you should listen to :

On each map, it is possible to listen to any selected song, or any playlist, and to add any songs to his own playlists (you you have registered on webjay…)
.
Doing so, each webjay user improves the relevancy of the classification, and the maps become better and better.
Navigate from song to song, discovering new ones, new playlists, and add your favorite ones to your playlists.
To begin, you ca start with :
A electro & contemporan playlist : Treebot
Bjork & Cure mixed… discovering its links with Air,Portishead and Kraftwerk for example.
a toy piano version of Beatles… with its links to traditionnal asian music…
And so much new songs…
Have a good musical navigation !
